Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with or knowledge of programming languages (php, python) and operating systems such as Unix, Linux, current network equipment and technologies: enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, virtualization (Xen, ESXi, Docker), HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP, traffic, content delivery and caching;

• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, CCNA certification is preferred (optional);

• Configuring, managing and maintaining networking equipments (Linux routers, Cisco etc.);

• Easy use of packet capture and interpretation tools (tcpdump, wireshark etc.);

• Solid iptables knowledge;

• Backup management, reporting and recovery;

• Analysis of security alerts and implementation of recommendations;

• Installing, configuring and administrating software applications;

• Operate FTP, SSH, Samba Server, rsync in the Linux environment;

• Security administration port security on switches and IP security on routers via access list;

• Functional knowledge of database management (Mysql and Mangodb on Linux);

• Preparing work status reports, presentations and updating technology-specific documents;

• Well-versed in implementing, managing and maintaining servers, VPN, DNS, DHCP, IP-Addressing, file replications and logon scripts.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, laptops, desktops, software and hardware;

• Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly;

• Monitor systems and applications health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test and maintain new servers as needed;

• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs and network segments;

• Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause and provide technical support when needed;

• Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.
